Travelling with OPOLUM means biking on the most beautiful bike routes of Europe. Our tours take place far away from noisy traffic, taking you to breathtaking tracks and small, hidden roads. The routes are well researched and full of variety, alternating gravel tracks, forest tracks, small tarmac roads, dirt roads, and single-tracks of various levels of difficulty.

 

The founder of OPOLUM, Henning Schmalfuss, is an enthusiastic mountain biker since 1993. He lived for 10 years in Freiburg in the Black Forest, one of the best biking grounds in Europe, where he had nearly all existing mountain bike routes under his nobby tyres. Today he lives in Basel, Switzerland, and explores the nearby tracks of the Alps and other destinations in Europe. Besides his activity for OPOLUM he writes guidebooks about interesting biking places in Europe, for example his latest publication is on the French isle Corsica, in the Mediterranean.
